Accessing the ADMS Portal to claim incentives for Australian Apprentices

In order to be able to claim your payment, you must first read the below carefully and follow instructions step-by-step. 

What is ADMS?

On the 11th April 2022, the government introduced a new database called the Apprenticeships Data Management System (ADMS).

ADMS is linked to your myGov Account, so please continue reading this webpage for more information. ADMS functions are being released in stages and will replace the old methods of submitting application/claim forms via post or email. Currently, the following application/claim forms must now be submitted via the ADMS Portal:

• Australian Apprentice Training Support Payments (AATSP)
• New Energy Apprentice Support Payment (NEASP)
• Trade Support Loan (TSL) Application Forms’
• Living Away From Home Allowance

What is the difference between myGov and myGovID?

• MyGovID lets people prove who they are when using government online services – like an ID on your phone, rather than having to visit a government office or shopfront.
• MyGov is the front door to a range of government online services, including Medicare, ATO and Centrelink, in the one portal using a single login and password.

What you need to do!

Accessing the ADMS Portal

Click here if you have a myGov account that is linked to either Centrelink, the Australian Taxation Office or Medicare

You will need to link your myGov Account to your ADMS Portal.  This is a one-time set-up and then you just save the ADMS website and go into ADMS each time you need to submit a claim. To use the myGov account to register for ADMS, your myGov account must be set-up to use the ‘2 factor authorisation code’, and not the security questions. If it is set-up with the security questions, you will need to create a myGovID instead.

• Go to ADMS: Click here
• Click Apprentice Login.
• Sign in using using your myGov username and password.

• Complete the privacy and conditions of use declarations.
• Link your myGov account to your ADMS portal by entering your apprentice ID (which you can get from Mas) or by entering your Unique Student Identifier (USI).
• Enter your date of birth.
• Tick I’m not a robot.

• Click Next | please note: if your details on record don’t match your myGov account details, the confirmation will fail.)
• You will then be asked to confirm your account with an activation code.
• The activation code can be sent to your phone or email.

• Click Send code.
• Enter the activation code that was sent to your phone or email.
• Click Next.
• Your ADMS Portal access should now be created and your claim forms will be visible in the portal as they become due.
• Ensure you advise Mas immediately if you change your email address, as emails will be sent to you each time a claim becomes due to remind you to log into ADMS Portal and submit your claim.

Click here if your myGov account is NOT linked to either Centrelink, the Australian Taxation Office or Medicare. You will need to set up a myGovID

Create a myGovID Digital Identity here.

1. Follow the instructions on the website and ensure you read each section carefully for security reasons.
2. Save the App to your mobile phone as you will need this each time you need to submit a claim.
3. To access the portal, you will need Standard identity strength or higher.
4. If you have any issues with setting this up, phone 1300 287 539 and select option 2 for myGovID enquiries.

Your bank details

If your bank details are not appearing on the Claim/Application Form, you will not be able to lodge your Claim/Application Form yet. You must email your bank details to Mas via the link at the bottom of this screen. We will then enter your bank details into the ADMS Portal and if you check your Claim/Application Form again a few days later the bank details will now appear. If you are using ‘Safari’ to access the Claim/Application Form (ie. Apple iPhone, iPad, MacBook) the bank account button will not appear. You must use a different device or web browser (ie. Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge).

• If you are unable to set up your myGovID account, please phone 1300 287 539 and select option 2.

Who do I contact if my training contact details have changed?

QLD Australian Apprentices, please email [email protected]. You will need to address the following:

• Update any of your contact details (i.e. name change, email change, new mobile number).
• If the legal name, trading name or ABN of your employer has changed.

All other State Australian Apprentices, please email [email protected]. You will need to address of the following:

• Update any of your contact details (i.e. name change, email change, new mobile number).
• If the legal name, trading name or ABN of your employer has changed.
